On Sunday about 100 people from every church in Narrabri gathered for a time of prayer for the drought. We covered everything from praying for rain to praying for farmers and counsellors.
Monday evening 35 mm of rain fell in about half an hour in one of the wildest storms I've seen for a few years. The rain was welcome but it tore the shade cloth off our shade area. 😦
There is now water in the creek behind the church.
Often it seems like our prayers are unanswered or answered much more slowly than we would like. This was not one of those times!
We still need to keep on praying. One fall of rain doesn't end a drought.
